The best of the best from Britain's "Photography" Magazine of 1958. Many of the world's best photographers are represented spanning from Great Britain, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, and the USA. Some of the exceptional photographers included are Edouard Boubat, John Bryson, Mario De Biasi, Hans Hammarskiold, Kurt Hutton, Max Scheler, and Gotthard Schuh. Beautiful and moving photographs of everyday people, places and objects.

A great feature of this book is the reference section in the back that gives a brief description of the photographs shown on each page. For example, the first photo, #37 in the book, is described as " 'Trophy Room', by John Bryson, was made for Sports Illustrated and the photographer used a misture of daylight and electronic flash in combination with a Hasselblad and wide-angle lens. The picture shows the 'life-work' of a retired big-game hunter, his wife and former assistant, and the photographer has endeavoured to produce the impact one feels when entering this extraordinary room."
