Here's a graceful Junior Vogue pattern for a bias-cut skirt, circa 1948 - and with only three pieces to the pattern, it's quick to cut, too! The skirt zips at the side seam, and the finished hem is a little over three yards, plenty for twirling (should the need arise...). This would be equally lovely in a wool flannel or a washed linen, and lots of things in between; it will go with just about anything.

Waist 25"
Hip 34-1/2"

The pattern is pre-cut (unprinted) and complete. The pieces could stand a pressing, but they don't look like they've ever been used. There are pinholes in the instruction sheet and the top of the envelope, where it was pinned shut. The envelope has a small tear at the top right corner, and very light edge wear - really very nice for its age!

Vogue 3236, late 1940s bias skirt
