A perfect early 1940s engagement ring with a GIA certified 1.08 carat Old European Cut diamond and "shooting star" shoulders. The diamond is set in a square head with fishtail-style prongs at the four corners. Such a lively stone! Elegant cutaways in the basket side gallery. The shoulders are set with straight and single cut diamonds tucked in milgrain recesses. Shoulders slim to a plain knife edge. Slim, trim, and effortlessly elegant. Marked for Maurice Tishman of NY, NY.
