The hamsa is an ancient symbol, but still popular today to give protection against the evil eye. It is reported to bring good luck. The word "hamsa" means five in arabic- referring to the five fingers.

This original design was meticulously made with many different parts of silver. The base is nice and thick and has a beautiful frame of hammered silver dots.
Set in the center top is a gorgeous bright pink tourmaline cut in a softened triangle shape. It has been set in a fine silver bezel . On the bottom three fingers there are three bright blue natural turquoise stones also set in silver. I lightly oxidized it and then highlighted the raised parts for a nice dramatic effect.

The bale us an open filligree design and it hangs from a double strand of oxidized silver chains.

This is definitly a statement necklace- bright in colors and big and bold in size.
The necklace length is 17 inches and the pendant itself is 2 1/4 inches in length.
