Reduced to $38.40! Trifari was founded in 1918 by Gustavo Trifari, and his partner, Leo Krussman. The company was started to manufacture ornate hair combs and other accessories. In 1925 Carl Fishel was added as a third partner and the company was called Trifari, Krussman and Fishel. Their signature was KTF.

This lovely hair comb is marked KTF, with the large T. I'd say c. 1930's-1940's. Perhaps designed by Alfred Philippe. A lovely dimensional bow.

The hinged comb works fine. I think the metal is rhodium-plated, but I'm not positive. It is in nice condition. There is some surface clouding on the comb part.

All of the rhinestones are there, but some are darkened, some are dull, some are dirty. I have no idea whether they are all the original. Definitely a fine, wearable ornament.

This is a rare piece. You just don't find too many of these around!
