The simplicity of a pretty bow makes the perfect shawl pin, sweater clip closure or brooch. We hand formed and hammered 12 gauge brass.
We smoothed all the edges so that it will not catch on your shawl.
This pin would work best on a knit or crocheted open weave type garment and is not intended for tightly woven cloth fabric.

The bow measures about 2 1/4- 2 5/8" (5.7-6.8cm) across the widest part. The pin that goes through the bow measures about 3- 3 1/8 " (7.6 - 8 cm).
I chose a simple loop design for the stick that goes through it that kind of reminds me of a needle but if you prefer our usual spiral end for the pin that we use in our other pin designs just let us know.

Your bow pin will arrive wrapped in colorful tissue paper, in a nice gift box and tied with a bow ready for gift giving.

This is a small sized pin and works well in your hair if you are only using it on a small amount of hair like when you pull the front pieces back like I did in the picture in this similar sized pin in our shop:

It is often hard to know if a hair accessory will work well for your particular type of hair without trying it on first. If our pins don't work well for you after you purchase them just let us know and we can easily work out a refund or exchange.

The pin in the pictures is a representative pin and not the exact same one that you will receive. We hand make each pin and try hard to make them look the same. There may be some minor differences but the one you will receive will look very similar to the one you see in the pictures.

The brass wire used in this pin is in it's natural form and not treated with a lacquer or wax. Brass naturally oxidizes over time and develops a patina. Some people love that look and some prefer to keep it shiny.
Here are some suggestions for how to shine up your brass jewelry using common household supplies like lemon juice or ketchup. The link provided below is for cleaning copper but it also applies to brass:
