The original painting, not a print, of my Spanish Mission watercolor. This is a historic building in my hometown of Cisco, Texas. It was built in the 1940's by Tom Graves and his adult sons, Tom and Theron, twins. Theron had just returned from his military service in World War II; he was one of "The Dirty Dozen" pilots. The building still stands today, in excellent condition, south of downtown.

If you want your prints to look very similar to the original paintings, go with the watercolor paper. It has a high end look and feel and is the most popular choice among art buyers in my store.

However, if you change out your art displays regularly, the smooth matte paper is the way to go. It has a velvety smooth texture, looks very nice, and the price lets you buy more art and decor.

Either way, both types of paper do a fine job of representing the rich colors and details of the original watercolor paintings.
