A short little neck scarf that takes just one ball of fine mohair and is quick to make.
I used RichMore "Excellent Mmohair Count 5"
(20 gms = 100 m), and then mad a wider one using smaller needles and Filatura Di Crosa Gioiello, but a similar yarn could be used instead for the same effect.

One 20 gm ball of Count 5 mohair makes a scarf 24 cm x 110 cm, one 50 gm ball of Gioiello makes a scarf 34 cms x 95 cms.
You can make this wider and longer if you want a wrap instead of a scarf.
The pattern also looks great in a variety of other yarns and needle sizes – see pic for a few other ideas.

It’s reversible, very open and lacy, and makes a lovely scarf that would make a great gift!

The lace matrix stitch is my own invention and I can’t find one like it in any of my stitch pattern books (so it’s probably new, but no guarantee!). It is easily learnt being only a 6 row repeat.

Easy to follow, written pattern, with plenty of reference photos.
