Vintage from the 19th century



Folding church-style chairs of oak that date to the 1890s, brought to the Midwest from across the pond as part of settlement into the new life of America. Clean-lined in their simplicity. People were smaller then, of course. These chairs will best-accommodate weights of 220 lbs or less. The folding aspect of the chairs make them ideal for special events with easy stacking and storage. Solid construction; do expect some natural sway which is typical of folding furniture. Sold in sets of 4. There are 20 chairs or 5 sets available. Excellent antique condition. some sway but solid to sit on.
