The difference between Shell Inlay and Shell Cut Out

We specialize in Shell Inlay. ▶This involves setting the shell into a bezel so the surfaces are flush and the shell is protected, whereas a shell cut-out is a piece of shell that has no protection around the edges or back. ▶The process of Inlay - a design is drawn on the metal and a matching cavity bezel is made. A piece of shell is cut to fit this cavity perfectly and then the entire surface is sanded and polished until it is smooth and the shell is level with the surrounding material. This creates a seamless, integrated design with a durable finish.
