A delicate, light-as-air lace shawl -- The Grateful Crane is based on a Japanese folktale, about a crane who turns into a woman and weaves her feathers into beautiful cloth. This lovely shawl, with its cascading feathers and a cozy collar around your neck, is knit in mohair-silk yarn that gives just the appearance of feathers. You could knit it in any lace or fingering yarn for a different look. It's knit on size 6 needles, so even though it seems large, it knits up quickly.

The pattern is 5 pages long - one page of intro and photos, one page of pattern instructions, and three pages of charts. The lace pattern is charted only. There are also instructions for re-sizing the pattern to make the shawl larger or smaller. Additionally, if you have any problems with the pattern, you are free to contact me for help!
