The bands in this sampler come from a book published in Germany in 1604. While I have no evidence that these bands were ever stitched together in a sampler when the book was published as we might do today, over four centuries after the publication of this work, it seemed such a natural design to create. You could really use any combination of threads and fabric.

Pattern is black and white and uses full cross stitches only.

Stitch count is 63 x 128.
