1927 Underwood Standard 4 Bank Antique Typewriter | Working Typewriter | What a treasure! | Serviced, Cleaned, Tested

$279.00+

Out of stock

  • Vintage from the 1920s

I love these older typewriters! Nearly 100 years old and still works! Some discoloration in certain keys, but overall they look amazing. I think the discoloration adds to the authentic antique look. Minor wear on the exterior paint but still much better condition than most we've seen. The bell is nice and strong and it types well. The ribbon spools have a knob that tightens down to hold them in place. Make sure to not tighten too much or the spool can't turn when typing.

View the typing demo I created to show you how to work the typewriter and how well it types! Has the original metal ribbon spools. You can either send us the spools and we'll put a fresh ribbon on it when you're ready, wrap fresh ribbon on it yourself, or install a universal ribbon. We've already wound a new ribbon onto the spools for you.

This beauty will be a very special treat for someone! We know you'll be delighted with it. Keep the machine attached to the bottom board. It is loose on the board but a portion of the typewriter is still affixed to it. The top of the case simply snaps on top of the typewriter. The leather handle is broken but we kept it on the case because, honestly, it belongs there. Such a handsome machine!

The product did exactly as described - no more scooting while typing - and fits with my Remington Travel-Riter perfectly!
