Item details

20 gauge copper sheet, copper keychain clip, 24 gauge copper wire, glass beads

Length: 4.5 Inches

When Pigs Fly is stamped on a whimsical, copper flying pig keychain, perfect for anyone from Cincinnati or who loves flying piggies. Complimented by orange and blue glass beads, this keychain is sure to inspire a smile each time you look at it!!

The flying pig is carefully cut, filed, and textured with a hammer by me before I hand stamp "When Pigs Fly" onto it. This keychain clips to a key ring or your favorite work out bag, and could also be used as an ornament during the holidays.

Each pig piece is hand cut from copper sheet and measures approximately 1 3/4" by 1 1/2", each will vary slightly in size and shape since they are cut by hand. Clips to keys or zipper with a copper colored clip which measures 1 1/2", total length is approximately 4 1/2".

***Your purchase will come beautifully packaged and ready for gift giving! If you would like me to include a handwritten note, please leave me a message in the "note to beccasblues" box at checkout.***

Copper Jewelry
When new, copper will be as shiny and pink as rose gold. Over time a patina will form on copper, leaving it more dull and brownish looking. Copper tarnishes easily and will need to be cleaned in order to keep your skin from turning green (this can easily be washed from skin with a mild soap and warm water).

Copper can be cleaned in a mixture of warm water and a few drops of mild dish detergent such as Dawn. Clean with a soft rag and the soap mixture then rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. Copper can be polished with a mixture of lemon juice and salt. Add a few dashes of salt to a enough lemon juice to cover your piece and allow to soak for about a minute, swirling it around to remove extra dirt and tarnish. Or it can be polished with a jewelers cloth or a great product called Penny Brite (available at local retailers). Storing it in a zippable plastic bag will help prevent tarnish. DO NOT use silver polish.

If your piece has been oxidized, please do not polish it as this will remove the added patina and leave you with a pink gold color of raw copper (unless you don’t like the patina, then feel free to polish). :)

How to Care for your beccasblues’ jewelry: Please take care and remove your jewelry before exercising, swimming, bathing or any use beyond light activity to preserve the life of the jewelry.

All silver and gold jewelry should be properly cleaned occasionally with either silver or gold cleaner available at retail locations. Dawn dish soap and warm water can be used to clean all pieces.

I recommend using Copper Bright or any other copper polish on copper jewelry, but lemon juice and salt mixed into a paste can be used in a pinch.
