My dictionary defines the verb 'to scry' as 'to predict events etc by crystal gazing'. But not only crystal balls are used for this ancient art - many people use magic mirrors or 'scrying glasses'.

The surface of a scrying glass is actually perfect black. To use, the practitioner gazes into the black mirror with unfocussed eyes, preferably by candlelight or moonlight. As he/she relaxes, images will appear in the scrying glass which can then be interpreted.

This scrying glass is set in a gorgeous silver-plated frame with an art nouveau inspired design of flowers, ribbons and butterflies - very faery! - which fits comfortably in cupped hands. It is also pretty enough to get admiring glances when it is not in use! The mirror itself measures approx 3½"/9cm x 2½"/6.5cm max. The frame measures approx 4¼"/11cm x 3⅛"/8cm. It has an extending 'foot' at the back enabling it to stand by itself.

The scrying glass will come complete with instructions for its use and care/cleaning. I have been making magic mirrors and scrying bowls now for over 20 years and have many satisfied customers! If you have been unsuccessful in using a crystal ball in the past, try a scrying glass.
