These beauties are inspired in part by a book on Japanese packaging called "How to Wrap Five Eggs". In this book, various products are wrapped in boldly patterned cloth or paper and creatively tied up with twine. The result is simple and dramatic.

It is also a result of the marriage of two previous directions in my work-- my wrapped pieces and my patterned metal series. They feature a 1/4" wide by 3/4" tall patterned brass panel wrapped by a light gauge sterling silver wire. Both the patterned brass and the wire wraps have been given a patina to create a bold look, and the wire ends have been soldered into place so they will not come unraveled. These hang from one of my distinctive hand-formed sterling silver ear wires, giving these an overall height of about 1 1/8".

The first three photos in this listing show the earrings in my forget me not pattern while the last photo shows the same earrings in the sunflower pattern. Please indicate in the drop down menu which pattern you would prefer. I have a matching necklace for sale here:

I can ship these out within 5 days of receiving payment.
