Item details

Vintage from the 1960s

Phenomenal example of the work of Marion Foale and Sally Tuffin in the 1960s, straight from my personal collection, this skirt suit was named 'Natasha' and exhibited at the Foale and Tuffin exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum in 2009 (please excuse my terrible photo from back then!). Made from a plush striped velvet in the lushest red, trimmed with Persian lamb at the neck and around the hem of the skirt. Simple but stunning, this is quintessential Swinging London and also an incredibly wearable piece.

JACKET: Bust 36" - Waist 32" - Hips 38" - Length 27"

SKIRT: Waist a shade over 26" - Hips 37" - Length 23"

Velvet and Persian lamb trim (I cannot guarantee if it's real or artificial)

Excellent condition. A faint grubbiness to the shoulders, possibly from storage before I owned it. A few tiny little flecks on the skirt, barely noticeable. Sold as vintage.
