Travel was much more elegant in the 1940's and 1950's.

This train case is soft turquoise tweed. There is no key, but the locks hold tight and are easy to slide inward to open latches. The original mirror is still intact, the previous owner added her address and phone number on sticky labels that I didn't attempt to remove.

This measures 8½ inches tall, 14 inches long and about 9½ inches deep.

The wear and tear is shown on the collage picture and adds to the beauty of this case. The fabric lining is not torn, but shows some fading and stains on the bottom. It does smell a bit musty, but easily refreshed with some fresh air.
