I'd run out of this product several years ago and 'forgot' all about it. So glad to be using it again!

Shipping policies

I ship 1st Class mail and 1st Class International to keep your shipping costs low. If you'd like to upgrade, I'd be happy to do so for you. Please contact me and I'll take care of it right away!

I ship as often as possible, being a full time caregiver to my Mother means shipping dates vary.

Paypal payments must be received immediately, Checks and Money orders need to be sent to me the next business day so I get them in a timely manner. If there are any problems whatsoever, please contact me right away, I have no problem working with you to make us both happy.

If, indeed something unforseen occurs and I do not get your payment in a timely manner, and cannot get a response through email and/or convo, I will have to cancel the sale and leave appropriate feedback. I will do everything I can to get in touch with you first.

U.S. customers, When I ship your package you will receive an email from PayPal showing the date and tracking number. If you do not receive it within 10 business days after that, please contact me.

Out of the U.S. customers, it can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks for you to receive your package. If you do not receive it within this time frame, please contact me. For packages over $40.00, if you do not receive them I have to wait 45 days from shipping date before filing an insurance claim (for Italy it is 60 days), at that time I will ship out a new package for you. Please do not request a different class on customs forms, I will follow the postal regulations regarding this. If, however, it is less expensive for you when customs is involved, to purchase separately, I will suggest it and help you the best I can to figure it out. Please note: International customers are responsible for any and/or all Customs fees, taxes, and duties associated with shipping & purchasing to their respective countries, should they be assessed. Most country's Customs agencies open and/or assess fees to a random selection of packages. Any customs fees, taxes, tariffs, duties, etc. that may be incurred at the time of delivery would be at the discretion of your country's tax regulations. I have no way of calculating how much these fees would be, should they occur, and I am not responsible for those charges. For any additional information please refer to your local customs agency.

No shipments to Sri Lanka or Mexico due to customs regulations.

Additional policies

Although some of the minerals I use in my makeup naturally contain SPF properties, according to U.S. laws, makeup manufacturers cannot market them with sun-protection claims. Such products must comply with the requirements for both cosmetics and drugs, and it puts the products into another classification under the law that I am not qualified to produce (drugs). The same is true of claims of acne curing, wrinkle erasing, etc.

From the FDA:
Claims stated on the product labeling, in advertising, on the Internet, or in other promotional materials. Certain claims may cause a product to be considered a drug, even if the product is marketed as if it were a cosmetic. Such claims establish the product as a drug because the intended use is to treat or prevent disease or otherwise affect the structure or functions of the human body. Some examples are claims that products will restore hair growth, reduce cellulite, treat varicose veins, or revitalise cells.
Consumer perception, which may be established through the product's reputation. This means asking why the consumer is buying it and what the consumer expects it to do.

Ingredients that may cause a product to be considered a drug because they have a well known use to the public and industry. For example, fluoride in toothpaste. This principle also holds true for essential oils in fragrance products. A fragrance marketed for promoting attractiveness is a cosmetic. But a fragrance marketed with certain 'aromatherapy' claims, such as assertions that the scent will help the consumer sleep or quit smoking, and moisturizers and makeup marketed with sun-protection claims meets the definition of a drug because of its intended use.
FDA does not have a pre-market approval system for cosmetic products or ingredients, with the important exception of color additives. Drugs, however, are subject to pre-market FDA approval.

What this means is any manufacturer of cosmetics that makes certain claims about their products, up to and including sun protection, wrinkle reduction, acne cures, detoxification, cell repairation, healing properties and so forth is then required by law to comply with all the rules, regulations, restrictions, certifications and laws that drug manufacturers are.

Generally speaking, the intended use of a product is determined by claims made on the product label, in collateral labeling, and in other promotional materials such as advertising. Information on the company's Internet site is also considered when evaluating intended use. Specific and implied drug or device claims are not appropriate for products marketed solely as cosmetics.
