Yarn weight: 1 Fingering & Sock

Primary fiber: Wool

Teton Knitting Company Hand Dyed Mountain Sock Yarn, a durable but soft, 4 ply Superwash Merino Sock Yarn with generous yardage with the right amount of twist to hold up to socks but soft enough to wear next to the skin for a variety of projects such as shawls, shawlettes, baby blankets, wraps, gloves and hats. This is my go to sock yarn for my husband and friends as the Tetons are hard on socks but this one holds up time and time again.

With glorious sunsets over the Big Holes, there is equally glorious sunrises over the Tetons each morning washing Teton Valley with its warm, golden light as the rising sun sets the sky ablaze with reds, golds, and oranges as the sky goes from black to sky blue.

Yarn Specifications:

While superwash wool yarns can be machined washed on cool setting, it is recommended to hand wash and line dry.

Teton Knitting Company uses color fast acid dyes on all our yarns. My yarns are all hand dyed by me in my yarn studio in Teton Valley, Idaho. Yarns are dyed in groups of 2-3 in most cases and I do my best to ensure consistency in each batch, however, there will be some variation even within a dye lot. Different dye lots will be siblings, rather than twins, so it is recommended you order enough for a project in one order for best results.
