VIntage 1920s book boys' fiction, Dick Never-Say-Die by Michael Poole. The frontispiece is by H.M.Brock in black and white with a tear to the margin. Hard cover book, published in 1929, bound in pale gray cloth with a blue decorative pattern on the front.

The spine ends are a bit puckered and there is a hint of yellowing to the spine. There are two dents to the outer edge of the front cover - I love that bit - I remember my grandmother had piles of books tied up with string.

There is a presentation label and an address written in pencil at the front. A boy arrives at his new school to find things very different from what he expected and cricket has been let go.
