This stylish vintage camera was produced by Whitehouse Products of Brooklyn N.Y. from 1950 to 1958. Intriguing Art Deco design influence with a molded and textured Bakelite body with chromed metal details. Features a 70mm Coated Doublet lens and a telescoping lens housing.

I love the Gothic font in which Beacon is written on the face plate. Little details like these give the camera a very unique personality. Also, note how when the camera is open, the viewfinder housing also opens up revealing a tiny pocket. So cute.

In very clean condition: some light scratches to the chrome finish on the faceplate, and some oxidation to the metal bands around the body of the camera. A rust mark on the back of the body - should come off with some elbow grease. Lens is clear, telescoping housing extends smoothly, as does the shutter and the film winder. Inside there is a bit of rust to the film plate, but nothing that's going to keep the camera from being used - see pics.

Takes 620 film, available here:

Or you can respool 120 film onto 620 reels. Directions (not mine) for respooling your film:

There are listings for more spools in my store.
