Wed in England without parental approval, Niles and Gillian fled to Northern Wales. They, with Gillian disguising herself as a young man, obtained employment in a small kingdom as the Queen's jesters. The Queen became deeply enamored with Gillian's manner and fell deeply in love with her. When Gillian's identity was discovered, the Queen was outraged and ordered her execution. Niles and Gillian were again forced to flee taking with them their only possessions, love and talent. Having not a shilling to their name, they became street entertainers, and at last, were successful and content.

These are two of my favorite pieces. More photos are available upon request.
