The thumb doesn't quite fit in with our other digits. A little odder-looking than the others. More important than any one of the others. In this piece, The thumb is given its due credit, perhaps even blessed recognition, for its uniqueness and individuality.

A fantasy for your wall. A small world in which to lose oneself. And, without a doubt, an automatic conversation piece, which is likely to start with the viewer shaking their head in wonder, or simply scratching it with curiosity.

The expressive energy of the thumb is made manifest by my drawing, with a stylus, directly on a polaroid photo of my own hand, going briskly with the flow, manipulating the image, in a limited time frame, as the photo emulsion sets up to become rigid. (No Photoshop here.)

12"x12". Larger, upon request
