We're not sure what these amazing bulgy lantern globes should be called. The glass is blown into a decorative wire framework or cage, bulging through the spaces between the wires. Kind of odd and alien looking but really quite beautiful, especially they way they've aged. They were probably originally made as hanging lanterns, because the caps are drilled to fit a light socket.

Since the iron chain and framework are very rusty, we would advise against hanging these. They look great sitting on table and make a gorgeous terrarium, or even an aquarium, ... picture some goldfish swimming around in these! Or you could easily hook up a light socket and make a fantastic table lamp.

There's a remnant of a Made in Mexico sticker on one of them, but were not sure how old they are, maybe 1960's or 70's? They're about 14" tall and 12" at the widest part. They weigh a little over 5 lbs each, and they'll be packed in separate boxes for safety. So shipping is for two 7 lb. packages.

This listing is for both globes for $120 plus shipping. If you only want one, we'll sell it for $65 plus half the quoted shipping. Just let us know at time of purchase and we'll refund $55 plus any excess shipping cost.

$34 for two 7 lb packages, Insured Parcel Post. Any shipping savings over $1 will be refunded. NY State residents will pay 8% tax at checkout. International buyers are welcome, but shipping costs would be high. Item #1005001
