ONE LINE - ONE WORLD

Most problems on Earth are due to greed, hate, and rejection. Many people draw lines between themselves and “others” to build their own communities apart from everybody else. Those distinctions are based on different reasons: religion, social background, skin color, habits or nationality.

This differentiation is supported by maps. In mapping, lines are (often) used as borders to divide the space into sections: borders between land and water, borders between different altitudes or borders between nations.

This map was drawn using a single continuous line, including the landmasses, islands, city labels, frame and icons. The message is clear:

LET'S CREATE CONNECTIONS! NOT BORDERS!

(see an animation of the map being drawn here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvX-6X5IaLU&lc=UgxAuBjlE9eiyFE6VhF4AaABAg )

!!! IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PRINTING !!!
If you would like to print the map make sure to print it with at least 170cm width to be able to distinguish the gap between lines.
