This Americana platter made by Pfaltzgraff in the 1980s depicts a folk art house quilt block with an appliqued bird and flowers. All of the pieces of Americana have different quilt block patterns on them and the platter is my favorite.

Americana is also a spatterware pattern in dark tan with blue spatters.

This platter measures just a bit over 14 inches lengthwise and 10 inches across. It has a nice deep well to catch all of the good juices and keep them inside the dish. It could also be used as a casserole dish, as it is oven-proof and microwave safe.

If you are wondering what MAFA on the back of some Pfaltzgraff china stands for, well here is the answer. Museum of American Folk Art. Isn't that cool?

This is a great platter to display in the Farmhouse kitchen and to use for those special family dinners.
