The popularity of this line of cameras forever changed the face of consumer photography, making 35mm cameras a household must have. Produced from 1935 to 1941, by Argus in the US.

Besides it's history, this camera features several particularly charming details. First is that the lens housing is telescoping and actually pops forwards with just a twist. This means that the lens has two focusing zones - 6 to 12 feet, and 12 feet to infinity. The second is that the back plate has a very pretty Art Deco design, a stylistic design element that distinguishes the camera from others in it's class. Uses 35mm film, readily available.

Bakelite and metal body with metal and glass components, f/4.5 Anastigmat lens, Ilex Precise shutter.

Camera displays well, face and lens housing is very clean. On the back there is an area of wear inside the design, probably from rubbing against the carrying case. Also, one corner on the back plate has a lot of rough wear. Also, the shutter does not appear to be working. Aperture selection is smooth, and the shutter speed selection ring also moves, but the shutter doesn't seam to fire at any speed. For that reason, I am selling this camera as is, perfect for collection or decor, or as a project camera to fix up.

I'm also including the case, which is worn but still intact.
