Item details

Vintage from the 1910s

Cup capacity: 3 Fluid ounces

This pattern of antique Mintons tea cups and saucers is one of high end English Mintons most beautiful gold encrusted china patterns. This pattern was very fashionable and high style in the Edwardian early 20th century England that produced it, and it is very popular in the current era that is experiencing a strong resurgence in elegant gold trimmed dinnerware and tea sets. This Mintons pattern is identified by the number 1935 (not connected to the year 1935) sometimes with an M in front it for Minton.

Measurements: Cups = 2 3/16" in diameter at the top and 2-1/8" High. Saucers = 4-3/8" Diameter. These cups and saucers are in excellent condition for their over 100 year old age, but there are a few subtle inconsistencies in condition -- note one 1/4" hairline cut only on the outside below the trim on one cup, and a couple of small spots of darkening in the white china on another ( see photo 4). Overall these are a remarkable set for display or use for samplings of your finest tea or espresso.
