This chaplet begins with a 36x15mm silver papal crucifix, followed by three sets of 3 (9 total) 8mm multi-color agate beads and ends with an Italian medal of Blessed John Paul II (Our Lady of Czestochowa on the reverse side.) Each bead and Tibetan silver spacer is permanently wrap-linked by hand using nickel-silver wrapping wire. This rosary will last for generations of normal use and would make a beautiful gift of faith for anytime of the year! I'll include a Pope John Paul II beatification prayer card, instructions for praying the "niner chaplet" and a keepsake organza pouch with your purchase.

Sister Marie Simon-Pierre who's inexplicable cure from Parkinson's disease was the miracle needed to beatify Pope John Paul II

A Brief History:
Born Karol Jozef Wojtyla. One of three children. His mother died one month before his First Communion. He grew up very close with his father who encouraged him to pray and study the Bible. He enjoyed many sports as a youth and had a great love of the outdoors. Karol studied German, Latin and Greek at a boys' school and later became fluent in eight languages. He worked as a laborer during WWII while studying theology in secret. He was ordained a priest in 1946, became Archbishop of Krakow in 1964, then Cardinal in 1967. He was elected Pope in 1978 and served nearly 27 years until his death in 2005. He was a prolific writer of many important Church documents, plus wrote five books of his own. Pope John Paul II canonized more saints (482) than any other Pope in modern history. He was well traveled throughout his reign, stopping only in 2004 due to ill health. He survived an assassination attempt in 1981. After a long recovery, he met with the gunman and offered his forgiveness.
