This handmade journal is a breath of fresh air with its bold color and exotic texture – spring has sprung! It’s a perfect choice for preserving your thoughts and dreams in something that is sure to become a prized possession. The book is part of a limited edition of ten and is signed by the artist (that’s me!).

---> Book size: 5” x 4 ⅞”
---> Usable page size: 4 ¾” x 4 ¾”
---> Pages: 64 hand-torn pages (128 front and back)

This book has both a refreshing and calming feel. The shiny embossed paper on the cover of this journal mimics the texture of snake patent leather (no animals were harmed in the making of this journal). The color green is rich in meaning and symbolizes hope, peace, fertility, vitality, prosperity, generosity, balance, and healing. In the religion of Islam, the color represents perfect faith and in China the color is associated with life and growth.

*** With your purchase, you will receive a gel pen in your choice of gold, silver, or white - perfect for writing on the fabulous colored pages! ***

The binding used is an exposed-stitch binding called the Coptic stitch. This ancient Egyptian binding allows the pages to lay completely flat, which makes for ease of use. The bright green, eco-friendly hemp thread used in the binding adds to the harmony of this book, which helps to create a binding that’s not only functional, but also attractive.

The vibrant paper used for the pages is 100% recycled and contains 30% post-consumer content. It was manufactured by a sixth-generation, family-owned paper mill using hydroelectric energy. This 60 lb. text-weight paper has a nice, smooth surface that takes pen, pencil, and other media well.

This journal was handcrafted using traditional bookbinding techniques and is meant to last a lifetime. All of my books are made using only the finest acid-free and archival materials. Your story is waiting to be told and you deserve a book that will become a treasured heirloom.

With proper care, your journal or photo album should last for many years. Here are some tips on how to preserve your book:

--> Prolonged light exposure can fade the colors of the covering materials of your book, along with any botanical inclusions in the paper. Store your book in a protected location.
--> Storing your book upright on a shelf can result in gravity pulling on the binding. Your binding will last longer if you store it flat.
--> Botanical inclusions may come loose from the covering paper - this is to be expected. If desired, you can secure the leaf or petal by using a light coat of glue on the back and pressing it overnight with a heavy book (be careful not to squash the ribbon).
