Do you offer reserves and layaways?

Yes, Old Friends Vintage offers layaways. A lay away requires an initial non refundable deposit of 30%, then the full balance must be paid within 30 days. Otherwise in the instance of cancelation or full payment not being received within the 30 days the customer forfeits the sale, they receive a refund of any money paid minus the 30% deposit, and the item is placed back on sale and is no longer reserved for them.

No, all sales are final. I do my best to ensure the quality, measurements, and description of each item. Please read descriptions carefully and do not hesitate to contact me before purchase with any questions. I do not offer refunds for size issues after purchase. I am only human, as items are old (and thats what we love about them!) there may be something minor I miss. A vintage piece, is pre-worn and will have corresponding wear. I do inspect each item for flaws and will mention any major flaws in the description. If a return is done the buyer has to pay for return shipping and 5% restocking fee. Also original shipping costs will not be refunded

Vintage sizes differ from the modern sizes you may be used to. When buying vintage you should look at the measurements of the garment and compare to measurements of an already well fitting item you have or your own body measurements. When buying vintage know your measurements and if you don't know where to start refer to the measurement guide. I measure the clothing using a dressmakers measuring tape, laying flat, measuring from one side to another. The measurements are then doubled.

Here is a simple guide to help you get your measurements! Bust: Circumference of the chest, Place one end of the tape measure at the fullest part of your bust, wrap it around under your armpits and back to the front to get the measurement. Waist: Circumference of the waist, Use the tape to circle your waist (where you would wear a belt) at your natural waistline, which is located above your belly button and below your rib cage. Hips: Circumference of the hips, Start at one hip and wrap the tape measure around your rear, around the other hip, and back to where you started. Make sure the tape is over the largest part of your buttocks.

Items are generally shipped within 1-3 days of purchase. Insurance or expedited shipping is available upon request but please contact before purchase. Old Friends Vintage is NOT responsible for packages lost during transit. For international orders custom fees and duties are the buyers responsibility. Old Friends Vintage is not responsible for any delays that could occur because of customs in the individual country. Vintage clothing has history and character and while described to the best of my ability remember you are buying an item that can anywhere from 70-100 years old. Expect normal wear due to age.
