I recently bought-out the contents of an old carnival and novelty company here in Columbus and have been spending hours and hours going through boxes and boxes. I have found Ajax, Imperial, MPC, Marx and other plastic manufacturers. I have found western stuff, cowboys and Indians, dinosaurs, and now just found some Greenberg 1969 Vietnam era Army Men and was very happy. I then discovered in the first week of May 2011, these amazing UNPLAYED and unsold 1950’s Army Men!!!

I have been searching and searching the internet and every resource to try to determine which company made these since they are UNMARKED! These are larger than standard. Check the photos and see the comparison next to a Greenberg from the 1969 era. These are almost comical since each soldier has a clown nose appearance. Very odd.

These are very unique since they have the black char marks in the plastic where the heating tub would turn some of the molten plastic black and the color would mix into the green. See the photo of the bottom and see what I mean. Not all the figures.

I know they are 1950’s since the larger case holding the smaller boxes of these had postage on the outside from 1959.

You are buying ONE of these toys and not the several in the set. Check the other ads or request a special listing for all 5 designs.
