This is a Scapular Medal and Miraculous Medal all in one. It is both practical, spiritual, and gorgeous! This medal isolid Sterling Silver. The medal was hand cast from an antique piece using the lost wax method.

It is called a Scapular medal because it depicts the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the front side, and Our Lady of Mount Carmel on back side. It is also a Miraculous Medal because it depicts Our Lady of Grace on the front side and the special symbols of the Miraculous Medal on the other side. It is basically the two most important Catholic medals put into one piece. The graces attached to wearing this medal with Faith are tremendous. (Be sure to be enrolled in the Brown Scapular by a priest, and have the medal blessed as well to receive full benefits.)

This medal was hand cast in sterling silver from an antique piece. The medal measures 3/4" tall and 3/4" wide. The necklace chain is not included in the listing...but may be requested for an additional cost..

"All who wear the Miraculous Medal will receive great graces; they should wear it around the neck. Graces will abound for persons who wear it with confidence."
Our Lady to St. Catherine Laboure

"Whosoever dies clothed in this habit shall not suffer the fires of hell."
Our Lady to St. Simon Stock about the Scapular

By permission of Pope Pius X, the Scapular Medal, once blessed, can be worn in place of the cloth scapular.

The Scapular is a gift of love so powerful that it is a major instrument used in God's mercy to deliver souls—even ones with just a shadow of faith—from the fires of hell. A gift of love that Our Lady, herself, says is "a sign of salvation, a protection in danger, and a pledge of peace." This gift of Our Lady's love, the Brown Scapular, she gave to St. Simon Stock and the world on July 16, 1251, contains the beautiful promise, "Whosoever dies clothed in this habit shall not suffer the fires of hell."
