Two sets of vintage cups and saucers in the Bob White pattern from Red Wing Potteries, produced between 1956 and 1967, when the company closed. This popular pattern of dinnerware has a speckled brown background with hand painted birds (bobwhite quail) and what looks like milkweed pods in brown and turquoise blue.

The cups are well balanced and have a nice weight in the hands. The Bob White dinnerware was marketed as hand painted (there are variations in the birds and backgrounds), color fast, oven proof, and detergent proof. It was designed by Charles Murphy.

The cups are unmarked. The saucers are marked Bob White by Red Wing, detergent proof, oven proof 144.

This set is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.

Size: Saucer is 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm) in diameter. Cup is 2 3/4 inches (6.7 cm) tall.

Note that I have number of extra saucers. Please send me a message if you're interested. The cups pictured are not the ones you'll receive, but they're identical except for slight variations in the hand painting.
