This listing is for a pdf file of my own arrangement of the beautiful Yiddish-language song, "Got fun Avrohom" ("God of Abraham"), also known as "Bobenyu" (Grandmother), which has lyrics by H. Roisenblatt and music by Sholom Secunda (1894-1974). "God of Abraham" is the song sung at the end of the Sabbath, to welcome in the new week, during the Havdalah ceremony; it is traditionally sung by the woman of the household, in this case, the Grandmother. The song is also known as "Zol Nokh Zayn Shabes," "Let It Still Remain the Sabbath."

"Oh, Grandmother, please, don't sing the "God of Abraham" song so soon;
Why hurry?
The sun has barely set in the West--
Wait, Grandmother, wait just a little while. ..."

The arrangement is pretty simple, SATB, and should be sing-able by beginner to intermediate groups. It has a substantial alto line, which might be helpful to some groups.

You will pay only the amount that I'm charged in fees to list it. I'd love to hear about it if you use the arrangement, as it was a work of love.

I will send the PDF file to the email given in your Shipping Address, unless you specify otherwise by convo or in the Notes to Seller.

A sheynem dank!
