This splendid old handmade is likely an old ballot box marble used for casting votes back in the 1800's. It has a few issues of as made dirt specks and tiny dimples/cold seams, and a 2mil spot where it's a tiny combo of both, but I can't see anything in the way of actual hits or playwear, and it's definitely still at least a Mint(9.5) as made. The two original pontils are finely ground and melted, with one on the larger side, and good centering, and the marble measures between 9/16" and 19/32". Although it's just a plain old white German handmade and will be priced as such, it is unique in the sunlight where twisting swirl lines can be seen in the white, along with some bluish/grayish undertones. The glass is on the softer side, like the glass Melonballs or Clambroths are made of. Peace to you, and Happy Marbling! :)
