Great gift for the geography buff on your list!

West Indies: December 1962 antique map stationery set
4 sheets of paper (6.25" x 9.5"), 2 salvaged envelopes (7.25" x 5.25")
The backs are blank to provide the perfect space for your classy message!

Hidden deep in the bins of the Oakland Museum's enormous annual White Elephant Sale is where I first came across these vintage National Geographic maps. Many were literally coming apart at the creases. Good thing, because had they been more intact I wouldn't have thought to tear them into stationery paper!

These original maps (not reproductions) mostly date from the 50's and 60's. They are only printed on one side, so the backs provide a very classy space for your love letter, thank you note, or special snail mail. Or maybe you'll repurpose them in collages or other artwork!

Each set includes adjacent pages from one geographic region, and salvaged, appropriately-sized envelopes. I prefer minimal packaging so the sets are simply tied with yarn, but on request I can slip your set into a plastic sleeve. I'll ship it with a protective cardboard backing to prevent bending.

Makes a great gift for far-flung friends, armchair travelers, geography buffs, jet-setters, or homesick relatives. Or purchase a set yourself, then sit down and write to those folks!

Be part of the snail mail revival!
