HistoryWearz™ Costumes for dolls and children - Inspirational People Series™

"MAKING HISTORY CHILD'S PLAY!"

This beautifully crafted 18" doll and her costume is inspired by Rosa Parks - "The First Lady of Civil Rights" - This ensemble was designed to portray the day (December 1, 1955) Mrs. Rosa Parks was "booked" by the Montgomery, Alabama police department for refusing to move to the back of the bus. Mrs. Parks refused to obey bus driver James F. Blake's order to give up her seat in the "colored section" to a white passenger, after the whites-only section was filled. Mrs. Park's “act of courage” was the spark for the Montgomery bus boycott.

"You must never be fearful about what you are doing when you are right". - Rosa Parks
