This glass jar was used in the 50’s & 60’s to help heat small areas. When filled with kerosene it would be turned upside down and placed in a small kerosene heater. The top of the glass has a small metal pin that when pushed in slowly releases kerosene into a heater.

The glass jar has a tin band that surrounds the center to which a strong metal handle is affixed for easy carrying.

The glass jar is in excellent condition, no visible chip, or cracks, see photos.
The jar measures approximately 7” inches in diameter and is 8.5” inches wide and 9” inches tall.
Inv #5115

This kerosene jar would make an interesting addition to any country setting.
