This beautiful Hand Painted Ladies Hand Fan has been part of my personal Antique Hand Fan collection for many years.
This painted fan was most likely made between 1960-1970. The leaf is hand-painted with flowers and is painted on paper. The sticks are made from unfinished wood and painted in decorative embellishment across all the sticks and the guard sticks are covered by the leaf. The rivet loop is made from metal, probably aluminum.
This ladies hand fan is part of my Antique Hand Fan Collection. Numbering somewhere between 100-200 fans, I will be posting almost all of them in my Etsy store. The hand fans I will be selling date all the way back to the 1800's. I have rare, hand-painted, lace, wood, pre-ban ivory, Victorian Mourning fans, parts for hand fans and more. If interested, please add me to your Circle so you can be updated on the fan listings as I post them.
Condition: Fair condition. The pin (rivet), and sticks are all in very good condition. There is some wear, no breaks or cracks. The paper may have tiny small tears along the top portion which appears to be trimmed in gold leaf or gold paint. The fan leaf trim has oxidized. The wood guard has some wear and dings and there is a tear in the leaf on the right side. Price reflects.
This fan has not been cleaned.
