This is a Pyrite Druzy sterling silver ring. Pyrite is the most widespread and abundant sulfide in the world and van be found in tens of thousands of localities with large and/or fine crystal being produced from Italy on Elba and at Piedmont, in Spain, Kazakhstan, in the United States from Colorado, Illinois, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Montana, Washington. The shank of this ring is a 1/2 round sterling silver band cleanly soldered to the backing plate which is made of 24 gauge sterling. The bezel is flat sterling wire. This ring is a number 7. We made a cabochon of the brass/gold colored pyrite. Great looking!
