Ingleside Imaginarium's fourth Mystery Stitch-Along enters the world of Witches' and their Familiar Spirits!

Imagine you are a witch looking for a Familiar Spirit to help you with your craft. Calluna Brightburn's Catalogue for Witches' Familiars is the place to start! The Brightburns have been known for centuries for their quality Familiars in many species. This catlaogue features 12; one for each month of the year! Each species is helpful for different schools pf magic, from divination, to crystal work, to potion making. Hopefully by the end of the year, you will be able to choose which type of Familiar fits you and your craft!

This listing contains the FINISHED Stitch-Along. The border and all twelve Familiars are included in this listing.

Historically, purported witches were commonly thought to have animal companions that could act as messengers, spies, or conduits of their magic. These creatures were called “Familiars.” This SAL is a creative look at possible animals who could act as a Familiar Spirit to the modern-day witch. Though I have done research to approach this subject respectfully, certain aspects on how each Familiar can be used will be purely fantastical. No sigils, symbols, or spells will be included.

This pattern uses 5 shades of DMC thread and 2 shades of The Gentle Arts Hand-Dyed Threads.

This version of the pattern contains an introduction, fabric and floss requirements, as well as the pattern for the border and all 12 Familiars.

The stitch count for this piece is 170 stitches wide x 224 stitches long.

Absolutely loving this SAL (so much so i've already recommended it to someone else!) I really love the attention to detail, care and time that has gone into the description of the familiars (I feel like I really am looking through a catalogue!) I came in late to this SAL (at part 3, Corvus), so got all of the patterns together (border, pt1, 2 and 3) and as such had missed the first 2's (Felix and Lepus) catalogue descriptions. I emailed Brittany to ask if I could have them and got a very nice reply with them. I will definitely buy from Ingleside Imaginarium in the future. I'd give you 10 stars, if I could 😊

I'm loving this SAL! So much so that I should really probably stop whipping through the monthly charts in just a few days each XD I love the aesthetic of the charts from Ingleside Imaginarium. This was also my first introduction to using evenweave and variegated floss (I am using the recommended fabric and floss), and I don't think I'll ever go back!
