Made from a re-claimed 100 percent cotton jersey t-shirt, this is a one-size-fits-most hat.

Inspired by head wear fashions from the 1920's, but with a modern and eco-conscious sensibility.

Due to its up-cycled nature, you are guaranteed a one-of-a-kind item to enhance your wardrobe... zero chance of finding your hat-twin while dining out with your sweetheart.

Stretchy, comfortable, sassy... perfect for Spring and Summer wear... and sure to be a favorite on bad-hair-going-to-market days as well as trips to the beach and walks in the park.

Named for the seamstress who made the first American flag, the Betsy Hat was fashioned from a heather grey t-shirt printed with an American flag and the date 09 . 11 . 01 . It was embellished with bits of matching fabric.

All hats sold in this shop are made from previously used and reclaimed textiles, all of which have been freshly laundered. They will almost definitely come with slight color variations, fading and other forms of natural age. I believe this makes them Beautiful.

To get the best life out of your Betsy Jersey Cloche Hat, I recommend that you treat it like a favorite piece of expensive lingerie and clean carefully and gently, with a gentle cycle fluff-dry to restore stretch.

My home is a smoke-free (unless you count the woodstove) and pet-free environment.
