Item details

Height: 1.25 Inches; Width: 7.5 Inches

Made from a section of root from a fallen oak tree, this bowl features some spectacular grain figure in its interior, a coarse dark natural-bark exterior, and a fun, squiggly overall shape. The interior shows a veritable riot of swirling shapes and flowing lines, laid out in bold colors ranging from pale beige to dark brown. This combination of swirling grain, variation in color, and wildly convoluted shape is something that can only be found in root wood, and indeed, only in rare specimens of root wood. The piece is finished with polyurethane on the outside and a tung oil varnish blend on the inside.

About 8 to 9 inches (20 - 23 cm) in diameter and a little over 2 inches (5.5 cm) high. A nice size for holding candies, nuts, miscellaneous desk items, or to simply be kept as an ornament and enjoyed for its wild organic shape and gorgeous grain. It's an item that's sure to draw attention and be enjoyed by all who see it.
