Gorgeous primitive stool with unusual diagonal herringbone woven top. The woven top was made of leather or similar manmade made material. Each length of material was tied at the end. The horizontal wooden rails were whittled to fit in irregular holes in the legs. At some point the stool was painted with a grayish green milk paint. The paint has faded. Wood and leather shine through in places. The top is still pretty tight but there are issues.

This fantastic piece was discovered in central North Carolina but it would make a great addition to your home.
