Love this pattern! Had a shaky start (totally my fault for not paying closer attention to the NOTES). Once I got going, it was easy to follow with great pictures and graph. I have since done the elephant as well. Can't wait to try more of these! Best of all, the friend I made this for LOVED it!!!

Love these filet patterns! I made this for a friend who is expecting soon. Her husband and mine have a going joke about monkeys, but she's having a girl so I still wanted to make it girly by using a pink/purple color. My friend is completely obsessed with it. It's a perfect size. I modified the border with a simple shell instead of following the original pattern. I would note that when following the main pattern, be sure to skip the first stitch when you turn your work. Otherwise your squares won't line up. I'm fairly new to filet, so it's been a habit for me to break.

GREAT pattern! Thank you so much. Took me a couple tries to get the bottom right... but pattern was very well written... just my first bag pattern. My first tote bag and came out great. Made this one for mom ... and both sisters soon after they saw this one! Making one for ME next!
