Everyone enjoys the smell of fresh baked bread!! This will make your life easy, having a quick recipe and baker to use. I have been making and selling "high top" bread bakers for years at shows and the studio, so thought it was time to list one here at my etsy shop. This hand made beauty is painted in my "pinecones" design, with a bit of an angle to allow for easy take out of the bread, and has convenient handles on the sides for easy removal from the oven.

The baker is 3.5 inches tall, and is 6 inches in diameter at the top. I include a recipe for a white loaf of bread. But any 2 loaf recipe will work, just cut it in half so you have just one loaf being made. This opens up most bread recipes for exploration! Plus, frozen bread dough works great too. Baking bread is not scary, just check the liquid temps, (stay around 110 to 120 degrees) and knead well. Which is easy to do if you are used to kneading clay!!

The pine boughs are brown/black, the needles are painted spruce green, and the pine cones are brown with black edging. The rim is brushed with spruce green slip as an accent. The plate is hand decorated and one of a kind. The clay body fires light cream at cone 6 in my kiln. The bottom of the piece is unglazed and smooth.

This item is lead free, microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. As with any pottery item, hand washing will prolong the life of the dish.
