Fantastic 1960’s collectible Enid Collins “Money Tree” handbag. This great wood handbag had a sweet dull gold painted bird design and is detailed with amber colored rhinestones and metal antique brass colored coin replicas. The bag is marked “Money Tree” in the lower left corner and has copy written “ec” initials in the lower right corner. This bag was made by “Collins of Texas” and is marked “Enid Collins’ Original Box Bag” in gold painted lettering on the interior of the box bag. It also has a mirror lining the interior of the lid. (Perfect for touching up that lipstick!) It has an antique white hard plastic handle and gold metal hardware. The box bag measures 8 ½” across X 4 ¼” tall by 2” wide (not including handle). The handle is 4 ¾” tall. It has a metal hinge and small metal feet on the base. This handbag is in very good vintage condition. All metal hardware functions easily. Interior is very clean. Mirror on interior is intact and has no tarnish. It is not missing any of its rhinestones or coins on the decorated front and I believe they are all original. There is light wear on the exterior of the wood box on the corners and edges from normal use. Some damaged spots to the wood finish on the back of the bag (see detail photo). Light wear and on all metal hardware. This beautiful “Money Tree” Bag is really a fantastic vintage treasure! It would be quite a statement piece when paired with any ensemble, or would be perfect addition to your Enid Collins’ Box Bag collection!
