A vintage Art Deco necklace from the 1935 California Pacific Exposition, held in San Diego. The expo, which was held in part to buoy the local economy during the depression, was also called "America's Exposition." The pendant has a strong Art Deco design, with a "V" shape framing the relief image of a tower. I believe this is the Tower of the Palace of Science, which was one of the attractions at Balboa Park. The pendant reads " San Diego Exposition" in capital letters. The pendant suspends from a crimped, paperclip link chain and secures with a decorative lanyard style clasp.

Measurements: Chain 19" | Pendant 3/4" x 1/2"
Era: 1930s
Markings: "San Diego Exposition"
